Punk Rock! Flea Market

If you ever get the chance to check out the Punk Rock Flea Market in Philly do it! This was my first year there and I didnt know what to expect. It was held in the Electric Factory and had over 3000 people attended. It was crazy packed with barely any room to move... I did well with both jewelry lines. Alot of people like Seven Ply and I plan on doing the next one this summer. Stay tuned for more info...

My SK8 Collection...

Here is a couple photos of the skateboard material pile. My husband brings home a lot of skate decks from the shops. Barewires and Rising Sun give us most of them, thanks guys! The boards have been coming in so fast... I always look for good graphics and colored ply but with them piling up like this I forget what is in there. Its like getting a brand new deck every time I dig through the pile for a board to cut. Found a couple cool ones last night so keep checking the online store for new product!

If you would like to donate your broken or warped skateboard to seven ply just contact me for the closest drop off location near you!

by Kristin Underwood, Sacramento, CA
on 03.25.09 Fashion & Beauty (accessories)

For those of you not living in southern California, or not used to spending your days grinding on a skateboard, Seven Ply is the latest company to turn the skate world into an eco-friendly venture. Owner Lynn Weiler turns broken skateboard decks (the name comes from the 7 layers in a skateboard deck) into cuffs, necklaces and other stylin' gear - the perfect accessory to pair with your new skateboard.

Awesomness is what we like to hear!!!

Check out what http://www.greenspacegoods.blogspot.com/ wrote about Seven Ply (below). Also make sure to check out their blog and etsy store...

(written by Green Space Goods)
We both admit to being classic procrastinators, so it's no surprise that we waited to the last minute to figure out what gift to give a certain special girl for her birthday. She's a skateboarding fashionista so after scouring the internet for accessory awesomness, it finally it hit us- a recycled skateboard pocket mirror! There's only one issue- finding one. After contacting several skateboard jewelry artists, we were finally rescued by SevenPly. I can only attempt to put into words how fantastic they are. Not only did they take on the challenge of making us a product they'd never attempted before, but they took it on as a rushed order as well. They kindly and professionally listened to every detail we requested, patiently bent to our every whim and even made multiples for us to choose from. The result is fabulous. I hope that they make many more of these. I wouldn't mind having one for myself! Please check out their shop here. And if you're reading this SevenPly- keep up the good work. You haven't seen the last of us :)
